Council of Ministers Resolution no. 30/2020 of 21 April approved the Action Plan for the Digital Transition, stating that in the current era of the fourth industrial revolution, marked by the exponential digitalisation of society and the economy, Portugal must become a more digital country, and so more competitive and stronger internationally.
As part of this, each school draws up its own Digital Development Action Plan for Schools (PADDE).
